Obituary of Carolyn J. Stanchfield
BANGOR - Kay Stanchfield, 89, wife of the late Lawrence D. Stanchfield Jr., died peacefully on November 14, 2020, with her daughter, Amy, by her side. Kay spent her last day being pampered by her family, as well as the nurses at St. Joseph Hospital.
She was born in Milo on September 4, 1931, to Oscar and Doris (Cook) Heal. Kay enjoyed gardening, bird watching, knitting, dining out and vacations.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Anne “Kit” Jason. She is survived by her 5 children: Kristin (Wayne) Watson, Dorothy (Don) Baker, Lawrence Douglass Stanchfield III, Bethany (Fred) Smith and Amy (Todd) Peabody; her 10 grandchildren: Scott (Beth Priest) Morelli, Terah (BJ) Ames, Amy (Douglas) Figueiredo, Dana (Tina) Carey, Mark (Sarah) Baker, Sean Baker, Sam Peabody, Jeremiah Smith, Gabrielle Peabody and Simon Smith; great-grandchildren: Sam, Michael, Olivia, Isabelle, Amelia, Colby, Blake, Justin, Deegan, Patrick, Mitchell, and Dawson; as well as sister-in-law, Betty Jo Hall, daughter-in-law, Diane Carey, nieces, nephews, cousins and the Florida Bailey “crew”.
