Jerry was a wonderful man who worked hard, played hard and took pride in all he did. I was fortunate to work with Jerry at Morton Avenue for many years and call him my friend. There was nothing that Jerry wouldn't do to come to the rescue of a child or teacher, always helping out in so many ways that were not in his job description. During snow storms Jerry could be seen outside clearing off staff members cars and was always willing to pick up Christmas wreathes or items at the store when he made his morning run to the central office. He was never too busy to tie a shoe, zip a jacket or console a child (or teacher). Jerry was one in a million. Fine man, great friend. RIP Jerry.
