Obituary of Christopher Lee Polley

Guilford – On August 3, 2020, Christopher L. Polley, 45, of Guilford, Maine, went home to be with the Lord following a post surgical procedure at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor. He was born June 9, 1975, at CMMG Hospital in Lewiston, the son of Ada May (Falkingham) and the late Robert D. Polley. Christopher attended Charleston Christian Academy and Dexter Regional High School and received a High School Equivalency. He later worked for Dexter Shoe, Pleasant River Lumber, Interface (nka Duvaltex) in Guilford, before pursuing a career as a commercial truck driver. At the time of his passing, he was a long time employee for Brenntag Lubricants (fka GH Berlin-Windward) Hampden, delivering essential petroleum products throughout Maine. He enjoyed Maine’s beautiful seasons and one on one contacts with customers along his route. Chris was a Christian conservative and will be remembered for his strong political convictions. One of the highlights of his life besides the day he married his high school sweetheart Veronica and the day their son Quentin was born was the day Donald Trump visited Guilford to tour Puritan Medical Products where his wife Veronica works and their son’s “drive-in” graduation from Piscataquis Community High School that same evening. Chris enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling and was an avid fisherman. His favorite thing was just spending time with his family. He loved playing guitar and singing. He was a good cook and spent a lot of time grilling or smoking his project to perfection. Chris is survived by his wife, Veronica (Milhorn) Polley; son, Quentin Polley; fur babies, Peanut and Luci; mother, Ada Sites; brother, Thomas Polley and wife, Mary, and their children, Elijah and Ashley; sister, Carrie Coney and her son, Leeo Jr.; brother, Michael Polley and wife, Donna, and their children, Jasmin, Colette, Owen and Jared Polley; sister, Jill Polley and her son, David Gagne; sister, Lisa Polley and her son, Riley Gilpatrick; in-laws, Ricky and Janet Milhorn; and sister-in-law, Rhonda Goulette and her children, Tyler and Heather; and Uncle John and Lynne Farrah; and many cousins, friends and extended family. Christopher was predeceased by a brother, Jonathan Polley; uncles, Wallace Polley and Norman Polley; and aunt, Marion Cole Bush.
