I remember Chris from our school days. He and his brother, Tommy, brought so much life to our school. I also remember horseback riding at their home when we lived in Garland. Chris was always polite to me and knew how to make me laugh. He was quick as a whip with his comebacks and super smart. As adults, we reconnected on Facebook as friends and I saw the passion and love that he had for his son and wife. I admired his convictions and strong stance on protecting children from abuse. He definitely would get fired up over politics, lol! It doesn't seem real that he's gone and that's me as simply a childhood friend. I can't even imagine what his family is feeling. My heart, thoughts, love and prayers go out to you all. Until we all see Chris again, may God hold you in the palm of His hands.
