I have many great memories of Paul and most of them involve him rescuing me with a broken down or very stuck vehicle. In the days before cell phones, which is how we talked these last few years, I would just call his house and often tell Janet where I was---
then magically Paul would appear and ALWAYS with a smile! Only once was he not able to get me out and that came with a very big lecture. The last several years he would often stop when he was out for one of his daily rides and we would chat about something around town. He will be missed! R.I.P.

Paul was a good friend during my time at Rowell’s Garage. He was very patient with my learning curve of the shop business. We had a lot of good times and laughs through the years. I’ll miss him.

I am very sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. He was always helpful to Howie and me when we lived in Dover-Foxcroft and needed advice or help with our autos. We bought most of our cars at that period from Rowell’s. My condolences to all of his family.

Barry and I are heartbroken to hear the news of such a special cousin. We are so blessed to have had the pleasure of having him in our lives. The memories we have shared together will be forever in our hearts. The sadness is unbearable, wishing we could have said good bye, but we know we will meet again.
We pray that the pain and sadness of all his loved ones will be replaced with laughter and joyful memories soon.
He will be missed terribly.

You will be sadly missed Paul, but we have memories from camp and at your house, also being so hard - working at Rowells and of course your snow plowing to help so many friends and family out. You have your wings now, and we look forward to meeting up with you again.

I worked with Paul when the was a mechanic at Mel Beech’s Gulf Station on West Main Street, across the street From Butterfields. It was not too long after he graduated from FA. He taught me a lot about working on cars and I have carried some of his “advice” with me throughout my life, some of which I should not share in a public forum. My heart goes out to Janet and the rest of the family.

Dad, that's what I called you, are going to be miss by all that knew you. You welcomed me into your lives and treated me like one of your own. You gave me a love of camping by taking me along as a kid, you gave me great memories that I'll cherish for ever. Rest in peace Dad.
Love, Terry

Paul was a longtime friend i always went to Paul at Rowells Garage it usally involved a long conversation not only about my vehicle issues but everything going on in the Dover Foxcroft Community and Piscataquis County. A simple drop off could turn into a hour or so Conversation and that didnt stop after his Retirement if i was outside the house doing something and he was driving by it usally would end in a Conversation. RIP my Friend we will watch over Dover-Foxcroft and Piscataquis County for you.

To Jan and all the family. Paul was a good friend that always was ready to help me out with my GMC s. I enjoy serving on the Water Board with him as his input on matters always was a voice of the taxpayer. He loved his family and he always mentioned them when we chatted. I saw him work hard at Rowells putting in many hours that others never saw and it was his second home and family. If you needed an answer Paul would have it or get it for you. I visited with Paul on my trips back to Maine and always left with a good story and laugh. Thank you Paul for being my friend. God Bless Jan and all the family and may God Bless Paul Hayes.
