Cevonte was in school with my son. I remember his smile and gentle nature. My prayers and love go out to his family and friends. As a community mourn his passing. One of our children have been taken before his time. I pray the family can have answers and in time heal from their loss. My heart hurts for his family. Trust in God and know that your community embraces you and loves you in this difficult time.

I am so sad about the passing of Cevonte. I was his home room teacher at Penquis for three years and I always looked forward to seeing him. He had a kind heart and a playful sense of humor. I saw him at Walmart shortly before Christmas this year and was so happy to see his cheerful, smiling face. We had a lovely conversation and I was glad to see him looking so well. My deepest sympathies to his family and close friends who are feeling this great loss.

First person to show me that not all people are cruel. I was new to a new school and he was the first person to ask if i needed help with anything. We became friends first day there and he was such a sweet, gentlemen. I will never forget the humor you had and all the lame jokes, You knew how to turn anyones frown upside down. you could make a rainy day bright as could be. I Love and miss you Cevonte Johnson, I hope your raising hell up there and having a blast with the others taken to soon! you will be forever missed by many!
