David came to Benton,New Brunswick with his lovely wife Cece, brother Lee Harmon and lovely wife Mary, also sister Pam. This was a summer trip to visit my Mum Irma McKinney wife of my Dad Ralph McKinney, Dad was an uncle to the boys and Pam. It was a beautiful summer day and we had a lovely visit. David and I went to the Benton Gravesite where there were many McKinney's buried. and David took picture's. I found David to be a gentle Teddy bear. Very gracious, easy to connect with, and a peacemaker. I loved him dearly. Mum thoroughly enjoyed their visit. It was great.Happy to report that I am delighted to have some of the same blood as Dad's side. They are wonderful, or at least the ones I have met so far.LOL I wish we all could have had David longer. I would have liked to have had a visit over there. Take care Cece and Boy's, take comfort in knowing you were blessed in having such a great husband and father and gramps. Oh, one more thing, I pray David tells Mumma that I am being good. Love you all. Maybe see you next week.

I am saddened to hear of David's passing. I knew David my whole life, often through the eyes of a younger boy who looked up to him from afar. He was a rock solid guy who worded hard his entire life and raised, along with his beautiful wife CeCe, a wonderful family. I spent a great deal of my youth with his brother Lee, and he was always a strong role model for his brother as they dealt with the turmoil of a difficult childhood. I know he was Lee's hero and I hope his pain can be assuaged by the knowledge that David was more of a surrogate father to him and he was very proud of his little brother's accomplishments.
I share a secret about how as a young police officer David helped me avoid a life altering mistake. My life would have taken a different turn had he and CeCe not been there as a friend to me. In a real sense, I owe David a debt that cannot be repaid.
My condolences to CeCe and her family; David was a good man. We are lesser for his passing.
Thank you.
