Obituary of Joel P. Burdin
Sangerville – Joel P. Burdin, 57, passed away October 9, 2019, at his home with loving family at his side. He was born June 18, 1962, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Sherry L. (Beckwith) Burdin. Joel worked for many years at the Charleston Correctional Facility as a vocational trades instructor. He enjoyed going to woodsman contests, hunting, gardening, and simply being outside. Joel loved his family and some of his favorite times were hanging out with Lexi making fires out back.
He is survived by his wife, Diane (Mullison) Burdin of Sangerville; his mother, Sherry (Beckwith) Burdin of Parkman; his son, Chase Burdin and wife, Karmen, of Dover-Foxcroft; daughter, Danielle Willmann of Beaver Creek, Ohio; two granddaughters, Alexis Marie Burdin and Lillian Virginia Willmann; grandson, David Hunter Burdin who was born just one day prior; seven siblings, James Burdin and his wife, Roberta, of Hampden, Kelly Burdin and his wife, Debra, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Corey Burdin and his wife, Tancy, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Perley Parent and his wife, Sonya, of Old Town, Rebecca Burdin of Bangor, Shannon Ross and her husband, Allen, of Dexter, and Ann Marie Burdin of Dexter; the best neighbors one could ask for, Dennis and Val Goodreau of Sangerville; his Charleston Correctional family; and several nieces and nephews.
