I’m so sorry for your loss. I’d like to share some real hope with you. In Psalms 146:4 tells the condition of the dead. “His breath goeth forth, he returneth to the earth and that very day his thoughts perish.” In John 6:40 and Acts 24:15 the bible promises a resurrection of our loved ones back to earth. When Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead, it was to earth. That was a foregleam of the future. In Psalms 37:11+29 says man will live forever on the earth in peace. That was God’s original purpose, for man to live forever in the garden of eden. God’s purpose hasn’t changed. In Isaiah 45:18 says God created the earth to be inhabited. That’s why he gave his son to die for us, John 3:16, so we could have everlasting life on earth. In Revelation 21:4 says there’ll be no more pain or death. Since there’s no pain or death in heaven, those are future conditions here on earth as God had intended. JW.org

Dear Terry and Judy,
Very sorry to read of your Father's death in the Portland Paper. I always thought it was pretty neat to have a State Policeman in the neighborhood in my younger days!
Hoping you both have wonderful memories to help you get through the difficult days.
Love,
Carol Brooks Petelle

Although I live in Alaska, when visiting my Mom and sister, I made it a point to see Merle and, earlier, Sis. No visit was complete without a trip to Merle's cabin on Sebec Lake. He always made the cabin welcome to me before Mom and Dad built their place next door and after my Dad passed on and Mom sold out of Bowerbank. Thank you Merle for being a great uncle, I will always remember you.... RIP Mike and Carrie

Colleen and Merle were old friends of Gene Jarvis and Beverly when they lived in Kennebunk. Sorry we lost contact when they moved north. They were such a lovely couple. We are sad they are both gone but will be fondly remembered.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed talks with Merle when I waitresses at the bears den and when ever I saw him. Sometimes he joined my family and ate supper with us at the local restaurants. I will miss him and his smile.

I am going to miss you so much Grampy! I will never forget all the summers we grandkids got to spend at the camp growing up and will never forget all the times we spent together when you and grammy parked your 5th wheel at our house in Florida in the winters. I am going to miss you harassing me about my southern accent and you saying that I was your favorite granddaughter (the only of course). I love you so much!
