I met Andy in a Christian men's group years ago before he retired. We enjoyed going out for Chinese food to a little place on Ridge Ave that's not there anymore. He loved Crispy Szechuan Duck. I hated seeing him move to Maine, although it was his heart's desire. We kept up by phone once a month or so, and I always hoped to make it up for a visit. He was a kind-hearted man, and a true, understanding friend. He loved his family very much. I will miss him.

Dave and Dan and family,
I am stunned by the news of Andy's passing. Although it's been a number of years since we spoke, I have many fond memories of Andy.
We worked together at Apple. I was at his home in Mt. Airy having dinner with him the night he accepted Jesus. We were on retreats together.
On April 21, 1996 I fell from a roof while working for Apple. Andy couldn't do enough to help me get thru my ordeal and would often spend time visiting me and encouraging me. He gave us our first message machine so that my wife, Becky, could leave messages updating my condition since she was at the hospital all day with me for 11 days.
I am praying for all of you and hope that the peace of Jesus will reign in your hearts as you grieve.

So sorry to hear of Andy's passing. I will miss seeing him at Whetstone and around town. He always had a friendly smile whenever we met. May he rest in peace.
Andy joined the Connecting with Nature group for a few of their hikes. Here he is on a walk in to Houston Brook Falls in 2012.

We will miss Dear Andy so very much! Our fellow Pennsylvanian, who rented our cottage on Whetstone Pond every August until he bought his own place on the pond. He was a good friend and we shared so many common interests, the most important of which was the love of the pond. Sad to see him go, but we know he is at peace.
