Obituary of Shawn T. McClure
Corinna- Shawn T. McClure, 28, passed away unexpectedly May 19, 2018, while camping in Frenchtown. He was born May 27, 1989, in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Thomas McClure and Ann M. Hicks. Shawn enjoyed many things. He liked fishing, being outside, listening to music and carpentry. He enjoyed working for Cut Above Carpentry with owners Josh and Laurie Holmbom, who treated him as part of the family. Shawn was the ideal family man, he enjoyed spending time with his family and was a great role model for his nephews, Jayvian and Christopher, who truly loved their “Unkie Shawn”. What Shawn enjoyed most of all was his son, Quincy. He adored him more than anything in this world. It was never about what Shawn couldn’t wait to do, but what Shawn couldn’t wait to take Quincy to do. Shawn not only adored Quincy but Quincy adored Shawn. Shawn was Quincy’s world. Quincy always said how his daddy was a superhero, and how his daddy had super powers. Shawn was Quincy’s hero. Shawn was a great son, brother, uncle, nephew but most of all, a great father. He touched the lives of everyone he knew. Shawn will never be forgotten especially with his big smile, smart-ass personality and loving heart. He will truly be missed by many.
Shawn is survived by his son, Quincy McClure; mother, Ann Hicks; step-father, Thomas Schmidt; three sisters, Emily Nelson and her wife, Alyssa Nelson, Miranda Schmidt, and Jacqueline McClure and her two children, Jayvian “Jay” Washburn and Christopher “CC” Washburn Jr.; three step sisters, Savannah Cronin, Willette Schmidt, Amanda Schmidt and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A graveside funeral service will be held 10am Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland, with Pastor Phil McGlauflin officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
