Obituary of Francis J. Michaud

Dover-Foxcroft- Francis J. Michaud, 59, passed away unexpectedly August 17, 2017, at his home. He was born January 21, 1958, in Lincoln, the son of Francis J. and Beverly A. (Thompson) Michaud.  Francis was a Foxcroft Academy graduate, Class of 1976. After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and worked as an aircraft engine mechanic.  Francis will be remembered by all as a motorcycle enthusiast who also enjoyed hunting, the New England Patriots, spending time with his family, and playing pool with the legionnaires.  He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 29 in Dover-Foxcroft.

 Francis is survived by his fiancée, Mary Grivois; mother, Beverly Michaud and her dear friend, Marc Maxcy; two daughters, Melissa “Missy” Watters and her husband, Matt, and Sarah Michaud and her fiancé, Seth Gilmore; son, Eric Michaud and his fiancée, Alysson White; two brothers, Jody Michaud and his girlfriend, Dianne Henson and close friend, Leonora Cacabelos, and Victor Michaud and his wife, Laurie; five sisters, Brenda Michaud, Beverly “Polly” Morin, Barbara “Skitchy” Michaud and her fiancé, Mark Gamber, Sally “Boo” Doughty, and Lori “Hodgie” Michaud-Desrochers and her husband, Dale; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to celebrate Francis’ life 1PM Sunday, September 3, 2017, at the American Legion Post 29, Dover-Foxcroft.  Burial with military honors will be held at 5PM at the family lot in Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the American Legion Post 29, P.O. Box 262, Dover-Foxcroft, Maine 04426. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
