Dear Alan,
It's hard to believe you are no longer here with us. I met you almost twenty years ago, When I started dating your brother David. I noticed right away you loved people. You had so much love for children and they loved you. You were a firefighter and anyone who knew you, Knew you took this obligation extremely serious. I'm going to miss your humor, It Seemed you could always make me laugh. Not having you right next door and then just down the road doesn't seem right.I can say you really lived life, You loved your wife Sharon and you both did so many things together, and in today's world that isn't seen very much. I'm going to miss you so much,You definitely were one of a kind. I can't wish you were still here because that would be selfish. I know with all my heart you are at peace in Heaven with our Lord and Family members who have gone home before you.Alan you and your memories will reside in my heart forever.
Love always and forever

Memories of you are filling my head but for once the words are escaping me. I find it funny you were a Santa because growing up My Uncle Alan coming to town was like Christmas. whenever you would come you would bring so many gifts, the most valuable was your time. I remember all the time we spent together we would go to the race track, the movies and just hang out. I was on top of the would when you were around then when you would go back out on the road my heart would break. I would dream of the day I would be old enough to go on the road with you. I wanted to see and experience the world as you described it. I wanted to go on adventures with my Uncle Alan. That day never came, but in my teen years I got something so much more. You planted roots and I got to stay with you. We had so much fun and I never had to say goodbye again. I was so happy for you when you found Aunt Sharon to spend your life with. She turned you into a clown ( not that it took much). You became Santa and had a Mrs. Clause by your side. It brought me so much joy to know that you were never alone again, that you had such a wonderful woman by your side.
Now it's time but I will not say goodbye I will say until we meet again. I love you Uncle Alan thank you for always being you and for all the love and joy you brought to my life.

The Lord called home one of the kindest soul's I've ever known. Alan was a good man, I always enjoyed our chats & visits. I had the great pleasure of meeting Alan when he purchased his Labrador Remington from my family & I. We knew instantly that it was a perfect match!
R.I.P Alan I'm certain Remington will miss you dearly :(

Words can’t wipe away your tears. Hugs won’t ease your pain. But hold on to your memories. Forever they’ll remain.
