Eileen and family, Sue, Jane, and families-I know how it feels to lose one of my best friends ever, but I can’t know how it feels to lose a husband or a brother. Jim and I shared a complicated friendship that began as kids back in Dover. Sharing the Pine St. paper route when I could barely lug the bagful of newspapers, cribbage games on the upstairs porch of the house on High St, running cross country together at FA, progressing through college and first jobs, and up to our first children being born. We did a few things together that in hindsight we were ashamed of, but all in all, our friendship was one of constant laughter and love for each other. It’s a helluva thing to spend so much time together that we could finish each other’s sentences, but that’s what we had, and I will miss that forever. I loved him like a brother, and I will miss him forever, but I am grateful that he is at peace now, peace that eluded him on his time on Earth. May God bless and take care of him for all of eternity, just as I hope God blesses you all and your families. My very best to you all. John Champeon
