The Staff and Board of the Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Elaine Law. Elaine and her husband Stephen deeded the property, which is now the Law Farm Nature Trails, to the District in 2009. The Laws envisioned a future for the land that included stewardship and educational opportunities. We are honored that they trusted us to continue their important work, and we will do so well into the future.

To the Law family,
My deepest sympathies to you for the loss of Elaine. She and I worked together at the Guilford Ben Franklin store. We had lots of fun; many stories and laughs. We had a craft department and she taught me a few things while there. Life took us in different directions only to cross paths from time to time. My children both planted trees at Steve and Elaine’s farm.
Hold you memories close, they will help you get through this difficult time. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
