My deepest condolonces to the Glover family on the passing of Carol. I have many fond memories of time spent at Smokey's pizza while working on the school newspaper. That place was a highlight of my student days. May she rest in peace.

Carol has been a large of part of my life professionally and personally. She has worked at the Lary Funeral Home since I was 2 years old until she was "technically" an employee of mine 37 years later. I use quotes around technically because we here at the Lary Funeral Home knew she was the real boss that helped make this place operate smoothly. She watched me roam the rooms in this building growing up and I was fortunate enough that she got to see my children roam these same rooms as they have grown. They both love Carol as much as Heather and I do. She will be greatly missed and I am thankful she was such a large part of my life. I won't be rushing but I look forward to seeing her again for a game of cribbage.

It is hard to put into words what Carol meant to our family. Not only did we work together for the last 8 years, we became friends. She was a great supporter to me, my children, my family and our work family. She loved getting updates and seeing our children in the office over the years. Carol taught me everything about working here at Lary Funeral Home. She was always patient, kind and supportive. She is greatly missed.
To Carol's family, thank you for sharing her with us all of these years. I hope all your memories help you get through this difficult time.

We are a small family funeral home and have been for 90 years . We value relationships with the people we serve and take care of their loved ones.I have worked here now for over 50 years since starting when I was in high school. In that time ,I have worked with several wonderful people, including my dad ,my son ,my daughter-in-law and many more. I count myself as very fortunate. It is hard for me to believe that Carol and I worked together for over 37 years. She was a perfectionist in all that she did to help us and the people we served. Even as her health failed she was still searching for ways that she could help us from home …….answering phones and clerical work, but the fact was, she loved to be here and we loved to have her . She struggled to come in far longer than she should have. We will miss her but smile as we reflect individually and as a team on her “Carolisms”. We extend a special thank you and appreciation to her family for sharing her with us these many years. She will be so missed!

To Carol’s Families,
My heartfelt condolences go out to you all. Carol was a dear friend. We graduated from FA together and went on to UMO. Carol hosted a surprise bridal shower for me in 1972. She made the final arrangements for the burial of Rick’s ashes in 2018. I am grateful for her many gifts and will miss her.

To the entire Glover family,
I have never met a lot of you, but feel I know you from the wonderful stories Carol has shared over the last several years. I will cherish the memories of times spent with Carol, particularly visiting the house on Spring Street, but also our FA years together. She was a special friend who I will greatly miss.

I send my condolences to Carol’s family and to her work family. As a fellow FA 1968 classmate of Carol, I got out our yearbook and had to smile when I saw the quote above her photo: “A mind is not completely well-organized that is deficient in a sense of humor.” Clearly, her mind was well organized and her sense of humor was always intact. We shared many classes and band activities as students. As adults, we would often engage in “remember when…” conversations. The twinkle in her eye always enhanced the memories being shared. She was a beautiful person. I’m so grateful to have known her.

My heart goes out to Chad and Ryan, and all who knew Carol. I have only the fondest memories of visiting her house as a teen, and any time our paths crossed as an adult. Warm, welcoming; a truly kind soul. Rest peacefully, Carol.
