I don’t have one specific memory of Betty that stands out, but she had a true warmth about her whenever our families spent time together and a great sense of humor. I have an impression of the fierce, amused, no-holds-barred look in her eye when she would often joke around with my dad. I really enjoyed spending time with her and Ray and we looked forward to it every summer. My whole family and I will really miss her.

We are praying for all of your family and are so sorry you are going through this. Just so hard.
We love Betty - she is kind, insightful, hilarious, encouraging, blunt when needed, creative, and more than anything, she loves Jesus.
She helped me come to know Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior by explaining John 3:16 to me, which changed the whole trajectory of my life. I love that we have stayed in touch. Ray, thank you for encouraging Dan as a young man and then over the years.
Love you guys to pieces. I am so glad we will see her again.

Our family is sorry to hear of Betty's passing. It has been many years since Debbie and I enjoyed a Friday evening trip to Portsmouth with you and Betty for a few hours of adult conversation and a good meal. Deb often reminisced, "Betty's advice was so wise that a young mother's priority must be her children and family. There will be plenty of time later to attend and participate in outside events and activities that seem so important." Take care of yourself, Ray and thank you for your many hours of disciplining this once young man in the Way of the Lord. You two played a foundational role in grounding us in the truth of God's Word.

Ray,Mike,Amy,Kevin,Hannah,Samuel, Julia, I'm sorry for this painful time in your life. Betty was such a special friend to me and so many others. She had such a great smile and sense humor. We did a lot of laughing over playing domino's . I will always think of her as I make molasses cookies. She always lite up when I brought them. She will be greatly missed.
