Obituary of Wendell A. Dunham

Please share a memory of Wendell to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Milo - Wendell A. Dunham, 58, tragically left us on January 21, 2024. Wendell was born on Oct 1, 1965, to Joyce and Wendell Dunham in Portsmouth, NH. Wendell attended Penquis Valley High School in Milo, ME and Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, NH. On any given day Wendell could be found under a hood. The sound of a motor and thrill of a burnout is what gave him joy in life. Wendell’s passion for hot rods and talent with auto mechanics is how he made a living for most of his life. He was a creative thinker and enjoyed building, modifying and fixing anything he could drive. Wendell liked to wrestle and was fearless. He stood up for his family, his friends and his beliefs. Wendell had a kind and gentle heart and a jolly laugh. He would always help someone in need and would never abandon a friend. Wendell will be missed by many. Wendell is survived by his mother, Joyce; his son, Cody; his daughter, Kiara, who was his pride and joy; Kiara’s sisters, Justice and Savannah; his sister, Roberta; his brother, William; his Aunt Diane; his Uncle Terri; and his nephews and cousins. Wendell was preceded in death by his long-time partner, Tanya Neal; his sister, Shawna Smith; his father, Wendell Dunham; his step-father, Robert Mason; his uncle, Alden Lanpher; his uncle, Wendell Jay; and his aunt, Anne Cruea. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm February 3, 2024 at the American Legion in Milo. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
