Guilford – Charles A. Foss, Jr., 93, passed away January 2, 2023, at Togus VA Hospital. He was born August 3, 1929, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Charles A. Sr. and Esther (Mayhew) Foss. Charlie proudly served with the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 29 in Dover-Foxcroft for almost 60 years. He is survived by his son, John Foss, and was predeceased by his son, Charles A. Foss III.
A committal with military honors will be held in the family lot in the Gray Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft, in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
