I’m sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. She was my school bus driver when I was in kindergarten. I remember her walking me into my house one day when I got home before mom did: she made sure the house was warm and that I had a snack before she left. Another time I got my foot stuck in between the seat and the wheel well and she came back and got me unstuck so I could go home. She was kind and practical. I will never forget her kindness when I was very little.

Betty always knew when to check in and knew when to give me a hard time. I enjoyed spending time with her and getting to know how she knew my family as well. I will forever cherish our memories and remember how her smile always brightened my day.
I am sending love to Bettys family.

Some people play a larger than life role this was Betty, to me. She was a strong, kind, adventurous soul, a friend that allowed me bend her ear with my stories of love and loss many times, always being kind, loving and truly understanding. A woman who wanted to know things, discover things, care about things, find things out, she had my heart from the first time I met her and it never changed, I love her and the last time I stopped to visit with my pony Elliott, I will remember the sparkle in her eyes and the sweetness in her voice as she spoke to the pony with love(though I can still hear her swearing like a sailor at the sled dogs when we ran together too!) my blessings to all of Betty's family , my heart hurts with you, truly

I knew Betty from her working at Moosehead Mfg. Co. in Dover-Foxcroft. Betty was one of my favorite people I've ever met in my life! She was genuine without a false pretense in her body, she loved life and lived it her way. I think she probably preferred animals over people but if you were her friend there was a warmth and smile that could make a cloudy day sunny. She had a laugh that was contagious. We always talked about her writing a book and said she had one started, I told her if she'd write the book I'd do all the typing and help her get it printed...Betty had a story to tell from her fathers trappers days to the end of her life. There is only one Betty in a persons life and she left me with a wonderful array of memories. God speed my friend
