I'm so sorry I didn't get back in touch with Georgia over the years, and now I see her obituary.
I met Georgia, about 40 years ago, when I lived in Taunton. Now, I don't even remember how we met. She was a very nice person and I valued her friendship.
We both liked country music, and were fans of the Statler Brothers. Once, when they played the Civic Center in Portland, Maine we decided to go to the concert. We returned to Taunton that same night! We both enjoyed the show very much.
I've been away from Massachusetts for over three decades now, but I've often thought of Georgia. I'm sure she was an asset to Taunton, and a devoted friend to many.
