Timothy Bickmore

Obituary of Timothy E. Bickmore

Corinth – Timothy Bickmore, 78 passed away of natural causes on July 14, 2021 at his home. Tim was born December 10, 1942 in Charleston, the fifth of 6 children of Wendell and Avaline Bickmore. Tim graduated from Higgins Classical Institute in 1961. Tim worked a number of jobs in his early years until joining the Maine Central Railroad in Bangor where he enjoyed a long and successful career as a machinist. Tim was always a man on the move, off to the next lake to fish, a reliable hunting spot, or just an adventure on the back roads of Maine. He especially loved camping and fishing lakes with his close friends and family in the summer. He enjoyed ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter. He also loved being in the woods where he hunted and cut wood. Family and friends were the focus of his life. He was always willing and able to lend a hand or a word of advice to those in need. It was widely accepted that everything was easier to understand, decisions were clearer, and love and support was always available at “Gramps table”. His wisdom, straight forward approach, and selfless perspective will be greatly missed. Tim is survived by his daughters, Tammy Bickmore and wife, Bernadette Kroon, of Cape Elizabeth, Elizabeth Brewer and husband, Donald, of Corinth; son, Andrew Bickmore of Windsor; grandchildren, Benjamin Brewer and fiancé, Chelsea Hawksley, Nicole and Matthew Brewer, Mackenzie and Jacob Bickmore; sisters, Joan Blackwell and husband, Delwin, Janice Cynewski and husband, Richard; brother, Raymond Bickmore; brother-in-law, Ralph Canney; lifelong friend, Benice Rhoades; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends. He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Albert Bickmore, sister, Rosemary Canney, sister-in-law, Sally Bickmore, and lifelong friend who he considered a brother, Dana Rhoades. Open visiting hours will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 outdoors at 218 Main Street, Corinth from 1-3 pm. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
