Obituary of Joyce B. Ross
Charleston – Joyce B. Ross, 95, wife of the late Marland E. Ross, passed away July 11, 2021. She was born August 30, 1925, in New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Charles and Sarah (Bell) Fleming. Joyce married Marland in November of 1955. They lived in Bradford for 56 years on the Tasker Road. She enjoyed sewing, canning, soap operas, going to fairs, and spending time with her grandchildren. In her life Joyce had many memorable experiences including in 1939 at the age of 14 she saw The Wizard of Oz premier and The Rockettes perform at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Joyce is survived by two daughters, Rhonda O’Bar, and her husband, Jeffrey, of Charleston, and Lisa Nason and her husband, Stephen, of Unity; four grandchildren, Heather McCoy, and Candra, Chelsea, and Jaden O’Bar; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and James Doore; and several extended family members. In addition to her husband, Marland, she was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Dionne. She will be missed by a special friend, Cynthia Ross Wickett
