Milo – Edwin Roland Mann, aka “Big Ed”, 36, passed away Saturday, July 3rd, 2021, at his residence in Milo. He was born October 29th, 1984, in Dover Foxcroft, ME, the son of Sherry Mann. Eddie was raised by his maternal grandmother, Katherine Elwell and grandfather, David Elwell. His uncle, Danny Mann Sr., had a hand in raising Eddie as well. Eddie loved to fish and was an enthusiastic storyteller. Eddie’s many stories were punctuated with an enthusiastic “I’m telling you” or “About imagine.” Eddie was also a PSS for his uncle, Danny. Eddie was special to anyone who met him; he had many friends, and was an all around fun loving, friendly, gentle giant. Eddie also loved his sports and wrestling. Eddie’s favorite football team was the Patriots. Eddie was a big kid at heart and loved to roughhouse and play with his many nieces and nephews to the point of his grandmother yelling at him to knock it off before he hurt one of the kids. Eddie is survived by his mother: Sherry Mann; his maternal grandmother and grandfather, Kay Elwell and David Elwell; his uncle, Danny Mann Sr. and his wife, Cindy; his siblings, Billy Mann and his wife, Jessica Mann, Miranda Mann, and Bobby-Jo Bartlett and companion, Jose Hernedaze; many special nieces and nephews, Brady, Faith, Aj, Cassie, Kimberly, Arriana, Malachi, Katrina, and Anacelia; great niece, Adaline; his cousin, Danny Mann Jr. and his wife, June, and their children, Danny Mann III and Michael Mann; a special cousin, Dale Peterson and his wife, Amy; also other cousins as well. Eddie had two special friends: Cindy Severance and Buddy Kennett. Eddie also had two special women in his life: Billy Jean Sprague and Ashley Renner. He will be missed by many other friends as well and he considered them all special in his life. Eddie was predeceased by his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Gilbert Mann and Madeline Mann. A funeral service and a committal will be conducted at 1 PM Monday, July 12th, 2021, at Puddledock Cemetery in Charleston, ME, with the Rev. Danny Mann Jr. officiating, assisted by Rev. Douglas Cotta. Immediately following the committal, the family invites relatives and friends to a potluck at the Milo American Legion Hall.
