Obituary of Carla M. Kelley

Greenville – Carla M. Kelley, 72, passed away peacefully June 21, 2021, with family by her side at Pleasant Meadows Estates, Dover-Foxcroft where she has called home since March of 2019. She was born February 22, 1949, in Greenville, the daughter of Warren A. Sr. and Emma Mae (MacDonald) Kelley. Carla lived with her parents for many years and she loved them dearly; always helping them with their day to day routines. She had a love for their many pets, Spike, Buffy, Mitzie –Sue, and Muffin. Over the years she enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, and board games with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed going to her sister Eleanor's to help her with the daycare as she loved all the children. In her younger years, Carla always looked forward to the next outing to go dancing; she loved to dance. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls and the Greenville United Methodist Church. For the last few weeks of her life journey Carla was surrounded by her family and friends including her Pleasant Meadows Family and care givers, as well as healthcare providers from Mayo, Hibbards, and Beacon Hospice. Carla is survived by her sister, Carolyn Savoie; brother, Warren “Butch” Kelley Jr. and his wife, Valerie; three nieces, Heidi Jones and fiancé, Carl Henderson, and their children Cody Smith and partner, Kendra, William “Billy” Jones, and Corey Henderson and fiance Katie; Marlene Wilson and husband, Ozzie, and their children Emma Wilson, Doug Wilson his daughters, Morgan and Lauren, Brian Wilson and wife, Nikki, and their children, Kiernan, Kaydee, Toler and Jude, and Julie Clough and husband, Stan, and their children, Nathan and Sidney; Beckie and husband, Dana, and their children Brian Perry and wife, Heather, and Damian Genthner; 5 nephews, Eric Witham and partner, Kris, and his daughter, Kristen Allen, and her husband, Josh, and their children, Logan and Jackson; Jeremy Kelley and partner, Tim; Dominic Kelley and wife, Aleesha, and their son, Andrew; Damien Kelley and wife, Holly and their 4 children; and McKenzie Kelley and fiancée, Kayla; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Barbara Beckwith; and sister, Eleanor Smith and her husband, Lampher. A memorial service will be held 2PM Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Greenville Chapel of Lary Funeral Home located in the Masonic building, 281 Pritham Avenue, Greenville. A Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. All are invited to the Bartley's Center Cove Event Center for refreshments and continued celebration of Carla's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bangor Humane Society or Children's Miracle Network. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
