Dover-Foxcroft – Theodore W. Marshall, 90, passed away peacefully June 19, 2021, at home surrounded by family. He was born June 1, 1931, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Walter and Carrie (Goodell) Marshall. Ted proudly served the United States Army and was a decorated Korean War Veteran. Ted married Mary Jane Lavigne, June 25, 1955, and were just days away from celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary. After serving his country, he held numerous jobs including serving as a court officer for 15 years for Piscataquis and Penobscot counties, working at Dover True Value/ Western Auto, and running his own cleaning business for 43 years. He was well known for his quick wit and sense of humor. Ted loved his family dearly and cherished all the times spent with them and joking with them. Ted is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane; three sons, Mark and his wife, Jinky, Bret and his wife, Lorna, and Scott and his wife, Angela; his grandchildren; step-granddaughters; and great-grandchildren. Memorial visitations will be held 5PM until Military Honors conclude the services at 7PM Friday, July 9, 2021, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. Burial at a later date will be in the family lot at the Riverside Cemetery, Willimantic. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
