Guilford – Elaine R. Goodreau, 94, wife of the late John F. Goodreau Jr., died June 11, 2021, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born May 14, 1927, in Sangerville, the daughter of William and Carrie (Foley) Hall. Elaine was known by many as “Blondie Hall.” She loved sports and will be remembered as a great basketball player in her day. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Family was very important to Elaine and she enjoyed camping with them and having family gatherings with all her kids, grandchildren and whoever else showed up. Elaine is survived by her three sons, Dennis Goodreau of Guilford, Peter Goodreau of Bowerbank, and James Goodreau of South Carolina; three daughters, Susan Williams of Sangerville, Debbie Watt of Abbot, and Cindy Ryder of Hancock; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Steven Goodreau; and three siblings, Gordon, Dorene, and Irene. Burial will be in the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford.
