Brownville Junction – Shirley L. Varney, 93, passed away June 8, 2021, at Northern Light Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born December 19, 1927, in Brownville Junction, the daughter of Frank and Ida (White) Small.
Shirley is survived by her son, Garry Varney; her daughter, Cynthia Varney; grandson, Marc Gregg Badeau; special friend, Amanda Bessey; and several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her two cats, Cosmo and Patches. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Donald Varney; son, Gregg Donald Varney; and siblings, Marian, Dorothy, Ruth, Howard, Annie, Ethel, Geraldine, Gerald, Ardelle, Claire, and Franklin.
Burial will be in the Pine Tree Cemetery, Brownville Junction. Memorial contributions can be made to P.A.W.S., 39 Clinton Street, Milo, ME 04463. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
