Brownville Junction – Shirley L. Varney, 93, passed away June 8, 2021, at Northern Light Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born December 19, 1927, in Brownville Junction, the daughter of Frank and Ida (White) Small. Shirley is survived by her son, Garry Varney; her daughter, Cynthia Varney; grandson, Marc Gregg Badeau; special friend, Amanda Bessey; and several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her two cats, Cosmo and Patches. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Donald Varney; son, Gregg Donald Varney; and siblings, Marian, Dorothy, Ruth, Howard, Annie, Ethel, Geraldine, Gerald, Ardelle, Claire, and Franklin.
