Ripley – Linda S. Burton, 67, passed away peacefully June 1, 2021, at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born March 5, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Alva F. Sr. and Elizabeth (Barnocki) Loomis. Linda worked all of her life as a Registered Nurse. She could always be counted on to help family and friends with health issues. Linda was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, Alva F. Loomis Jr., formerly of Lake Arrowhead, California, by just a few days. She is survived by her daughters, Haley Burton of Rockland, and Olivia and Paige Burton, both of Toledo, Ohio; sister, Christine Nietrzeba of Rudolph, Ohio; and her fiancé, Doug Thomas of Ripley. A graveside memorial service will be held 3PM Friday, June 18, 2021, at the Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
