Obituary of Cathy Lena Brown

Dover-Foxcroft – Cathy Lena Brown, 50, went home to Heaven on April 18, 2021, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Hospital in Bangor after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 25, 1970, in Sebec, the daughter of David K. and Sandra K. (Holt) Seavey. Cathy was a graduate of Penquis Valley High School, Class of 1988. She later earned an associate’s degree in X-Ray technology, graduating Cum Laude from Kennebec Valley Community College in 2006. She had worked at Mayo Regional Hospital as an X-Ray technician and as a medical assistant. She was employed at Workwise and at St. Joseph Hospital in the billing and transcription departments. She also had her own business, Brown’s Transcription Service. Cathy enjoyed crocheting, genealogy, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her significant other, David Pratt, of Dover-Foxcroft; two sons, Tyler Brown of Bowdoin, and Benjamin Hathorne; a daughter, Heather (Brown) Warner and her husband, Daniel, of Orono; her mother, Sandy Heal and her husband, Lewis, of Sebec; her step-father, Jim Snide, of Parkman; a brother, David Seavey and his wife, Dawn, of Sebec; two sisters, Deborah Warren of Milo, and Nycol Seavey of Dover-Foxcroft. She leaves her two beloved grandchildren, Kaydence and Tessa Warner, who will miss her very much. She will be missed by her best friend, Christie McMillan. Cathy is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and several nieces and nephews. Cathy was predeceased by her father, and her beloved grandmothers, Gram Flo (Seavey) Blair and Nana Kaye (Doore) Sickenberger. Services will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in the family lot of the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
