Greenville - Helen Mae Doyon passed away on March 16, 2021 at Charles A. Dean Memorial Nursing Home in Greenville. She was born Helen Mae Ramsey on August 29, 1928 in Braintree, Massachusetts to Harry E. and Lillian Greenwood Ramsey. Helen lived most of her life in Greenville, Maine. She attended beauty school in Bangor when her children were very young and began her own business in the early 1950’s, operating Helen’s Beauty Salon on Pleasant Street for nearly 20 years. She loved her family and despite her hectic schedule always had time for family needs. In her retired years, she could often be found fishing on the shores of Moosehead Lake until age and health prevented her from fishing any longer. Helen was pre-deceased by her parents; husband of 57 years, Leo Doyon; son-in-law, Howard Ryder; siblings: Harry “Buddy”, John “Jackie”, Fred Ramsey and sister, Rita, who died before Helen was born. She is survived by sister-in-law, Virginia Ramsey of Andover, MA; son, Leo Doyon Jr. (Nancy) of El Paso, TX; daughter, Elizabeth “Betty” Ryder of Greenville and Winslow, ME; grandchildren: Lincoln Ryder (Brenda), Heidi Bray (Jamie), all of Maine, Christine Sues of AZ, Stephanie Stiles (Ron) of OK, Gina Doyon of TX, and Leo Doyon III (Kathy) of TX; great-grandchildren: Vincent and Abbey Doyon, Ryan Stiles, Jacqueline Morales (J. R.), Brett and Elizabeth Doyon, Colby and Haley Ryder, Lily and Wyatt Bray, triplets: Paige, Alexandra, and Gianna Ivie; and great-great-grandchildren: Arianah, Julianah, and Lilianah Morales. Heavenly Father has called her home to be with her husband, Leo. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We want to thank the many folks who enriched her life, especially the staff of the C.A. Dean Nursing Home for the wonderful care and attention given her for these past few years.
