Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sangerville – Daniel Lee Waterhouse, 65, passed away March 9, 2021, at Northern Light Mayo Hospital after a brief illness. He was born July 2, 1955, in Milo, the son of Cecil and Patricia (Campbell) Waterhouse. Dan served his country by joining the U.S. Navy in 1974. He served in Morocco and later on the destroyer, the USS Johnston, where he met his wife of 42 years. Dan moved back to Maine in 1978 and picked up where he left off, working in the woods and driving truck. He later worked for the railroad and then retired from the car parts business. After that he was quite content hawking coffee and talking to friends a couple of times a week. You would often find Dan somewhere in the woods of Maine hunting bunnies with his well-bred beagle pack (which he lived for). He was an avid hunter and a Maine Guide for most of his life. Dan will be missed by all, especially his dogs. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon (Buntz) Waterhouse; his son, Jason Lee Waterhouse and his fiancé, Dara Kerns of Wilmington, MA; two granddaughters, Jordyn and Jenna; his daughter, Karly Rae LaCasce and her husband, Patrick, of Dover-Foxcroft; two grandsons, Jakob and Hunter Stevens; and his brother, George. Waterhouse. Daniel was predeceased by his parents; and two brothers, John and David Waterhouse. He will be remembered by his babies, Boomer, Ranger, Anna, Molly, Scarlett and Shelby. In lieu of flowers, please love your dog. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at a later date, when weather permits. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolences may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
