Abbot – Floyd “Art” Arthur Severance, 72, passed away February 17, 2021, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born January 17, 1949, in Portland, the son of Clifton and Verna (Minor) Severance. Art worked for many years as an automobile mechanic and body shop worker. He enjoyed flying, boating, and living in the country. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved hunting and fishing. Art is survived by his wife, Eileen Seward Darling; father and step-mother, Clifton and Wilma Severance; brothers, David, Dana, Jim, and John; sisters, Ruth and Starr; special nephew, Rene; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
