Milo – Sara S. Richards, 82, went peacefully to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, and her husband, Ronald “Tinker” Richards, on January 29, 2021. She was born April 9, 1938, in Milo, the daughter of Fay and Edna (Allen) Stevens. She graduated from Milo High School and then married her love, Tinker, on June 23, 1956. Sara lived a very full life. In her earlier years she owned “Sara’s Frosty Bite”. She was a member of the Milo Garden Club and Eastern Star and had been the organist at the United Baptist Church in Milo for over 50 years. She enjoyed quilting, the family camp at Schoodic Lake, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling. Sara is survived by her three sisters, Jackie, Gwen, and Jean. She and Tinker had four children, Donald and his wife, Janet; Tammy and her husband, Joel; Beth and her husband, Jon, and Cory and his wife, Laurie. She leaves nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Sara’s family extends special thanks to the staff at New Beginnings and Beacon Hospice for the loving care she received. Services will be announced in the spring.
