Dover-Foxcroft - Gary Leonard Kupreance was born on December 21, 1959, in Beverly, Massachusetts to Leonard William and Winifred Mary (Tobiasz) Kupreance. He passed away on January 24, 2021, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor due to heart complications. Gary loved the outdoors and never wanted to be cooped up inside. He put his green thumb to good use and was very passionate about gardening. Over the past few years, he discovered his love of kayaking and spent a lot of time enjoying peaceful days on the water. When the weather wouldn’t permit outdoor activities, Gary spent his time on many woodworking projects, building, carving and wood burning beautiful pieces of furniture and artwork. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Laurie (Valeriani) Kupreance; son, Cody Kupreance; and daughter, Shawna Hatley and her husband, John, and his grandson, JD. He also leaves behind his father, Lenny, and his sister, Lee. He was predeceased by his mother and his son, Gary Jr. A time of visitations will be held 11:00 am to 12:00 noon February 17, 2021, at Lary Funeral Home in Dover-Foxcroft.
