Dover-Foxcroft – Virginia B. Smith, 87, wife of the late Winifred C. Smith, passed away February 25, 2016, at Mayo Regional Hospital. She was born August 28, 1928, in Sangerville, the daughter of Jeptha P. and Bessie B. (Ladd) Lowell. Mrs. Smith had worked as a cook at Hilltop Manor in Dover-Foxcroft and at Green Acres Store in Sebec. She is survived by a son, Linwood Smith and his wife, Karen; a daughter, Juanita Smith; and two granddaughters, Michelle and Lisa. She was predeceased by a son, Maurice. A graveside service at the family lot in Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft, will be announced in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
