Garland – Merle Emerson Doore, 83, passed away January 13, 2021, at his home. He was born May 30, 1937, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Harland E. and Merna (Sawyer) Doore. Merle proudly served in the United States Marines Corps. Merle is survived by two daughters, Vickie Allen and Leona Pullyard and her husband, Jefferi; brothers, Cryrus Doore and his wife, Gail, and Freeman Doore and his wife, Kathy; sisters, Rosa-Lee Dow and her husband, Robert, and Mary Lou Davis and her husband, Wade; long time special friend, Marline Nightingale; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Mark Doore; his brother, Earle Doore; and his parents, Harland and Merna Doore. Services will be announced. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
