Willimantic – Michael Gary, 79, went home to be with the Lord, December 31, 2020, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. He was born October 19, 1941, in Greenville, the son of Walter and Inda (Smith) Gary. Michael will be remembered as a loving husband and father. He had a strong work ethic and over the years worked for Scott Paper, worked cutting and hauling wood for himself, cutting wood for Bob Palmer, and in 1986 he went to work for Moosehead Manufacturing until his retirement in 2009. Michael was a faithful man and attended the Dover-Foxcroft United Baptist Church for 10 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Karolyn (Patterson) Gary; his son, Michael Gary and wife, Jessica; three daughters, Leslie Gallant, Lorri Tourtelotte, and Lorna Bell; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Gary and his wife, Wanda; sister, Melanie Huff; and many nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his son, Daniel. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the family lot in Riverside Cemetery, Willimantic.
