My condolences to you all:
To say that Miss Stacy "lit up every room," is an understatement. She made weeks at a time on Sebec Lake as her rental neighbor at the Whites MAGICAL. From our morning swims to the rock; to her heartwarming and infectious cackle; to her yelps for help late at night to rescue her from the clutches of a horrifying bat--she was a favorite part of my summers, birthdays and moments on the lake. Before we had BLM, I had Miss Stacy. Tears of joy to have known her and been very touched.

The world has lost a bright light and a person who truly was the meaning of a Christian. The joy of hearing her voice and seeing her infectious smile was a gift indeed. I came to know her 47 years ago. I stood in awe of her selflessness that was spread throughout our community. I will miss her, visits on her beautiful porch, summer days spent at her family place at the lake. They were so very special simply because of Suzanne. She left this world having made countless lives better. She is and will be greatly missed.

I am saddened to learn of Sue's passing. I was one of Sue's 1st students at Lincoln School in South Portland in September 1966 1st Grade. I was to have met Sue for lunch back in June but due to Covid and health issues that she was having at the time she asked when I called if I would cancel until she felt better and maybe we could meet in the future. I am sad this won't happen now but Happy of the wonderful memories that I had with her as my teacher and when I was an adult and I would bring Sue a birthday card so she always knew I was thinking of her and how much she influenced my life over the years. I shall always remember and cherish those memories. Rest in Peace Sue and know how much you were loved and cherished by All that you came in contact with over the years.

My condolences to the family.
Suzanne was one of the most competent, caring and professional teachers I have ever known and worked with. She welcomed all students with a smile and a gentle firmness and guided them to learn. She will be fondly tempered and sorely missed.
Sincerely,

Our friendship was one of more than 70 years. We always knew it was going to be difficult for the one left behind, but my.... what a huge feeling of loss this is going to be in the time ahead. What wonderful memories of our childhood and growing up on Grange Street. What you didn’t think of, wasn’t worth doing! Everyone should have had a red headed childhood friend like I did! I will always remember how thoughtful you were in sending cards to people for every situation under the sun! If someone was sick, you would send cards every week until they were better. If someone’s cat was sick you would send a card. If someone graduated, you would send a card. You made me laugh when we were young and you still had that off beat sense of humor the very last time I was at your house. God has another Special Angel in Heaven......... With Love from your “Eskimo Friend” of long ago.....

Sue and I were born in the same room at Mayo at virtually the same time; she on the 12th, I on the 4th.
Both only children. We were in Sunday and grade school together. I remember going to her house several times ice skating to the Cove and back. Fun times. Long time ago.

I was so sad to hear of Suzanne's passing. Our community has lost a gem. Her warmth, smile, kindness, generosity, spirit, and I could go on and on, will be missed. I enjoyed chatting with Suzanne any time I ran into her around town, on trips to local movies, attending church suppers and community dinners. Her simple joy of living life was infectious. You couldn't help smiling in her presence. Suzanne, you were one in a million. I will miss you. We all will. Rest in peace, my friend.

I adored Suzanne! Her classroom was a gift of love that she gave all of her students and fellow teachers. I taught with her spirit of joy and love over forty years ago and still remember her amazing light... a light that shines through forty two years!! First grade is one of the most labor intensive grades to teach... teaching babies to be independent, read and comprehend some math! It is the stuff of magicians!! I always wanted to reconnect with Suzanne... now I can just look up at the brightest star and know that she is watching. Thank you for the description of her life in Dover Foxcroft... it made me chuckle, and smile and know that her love was felt and returned by many. Please contact me when you are doing a celebration of life service for Suzanne, ...Thank you! (I don’t usually get the paper.) Annie Winkler Beauchemin email jnb789@yahoo.com

Suzanne was a shining light at Dyer elementary school where we both worked, I as a music teacher and she as the best 1st grade teacher "evah!" Forever will I remember her yearly tribute to patriotism in recognition of our patriotic holidays. She taught the children in her class to perform in color guard style while playing assorted rhythm instruments and singing such songs (in full voice, of course) as "You're A Grand Old Flag" and "Yankee Doodle". Her ability to encourage and nurture each and every child was truly a gift from God. Suzanne was kind and compassionate to at all times. The world is a better place because of Suzanne. Rest in peace Suzie.
