Obituary of Harold D. Quiet
Dover-Foxcroft – Harold D. Quiet, 78, passed away December 6, 2020, at a local hospital. He was born March 12, 1942, in Goffstown, NH, the son of Lloyd D. and Nellie (Jameson) Quiet.
Harold served as a firefighter in Rockland and Dover-Foxcroft for many years. He was a former member of the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis, a lifetime member of the Mt. Kineo Masonic Lodge No. 109 of Guilford, and for 45 years, a member of the Anah Temple Shriners of Bangor. Harold loved spending his summers at First Davis Pond, fishing, hunting and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brenda (Davis) Quiet; two sons, David S. Quiet of Dover-Foxcroft, and Duane G. Quiet and his wife, Mary Raynes, of Hillsboro, Oregon; a grandson, Samuel D. Bouchard, currently serving his country with the U.S. Army in Germany. He leaves a sister, Nellie Soloniewicz, of Pittsfield; a brother, Lloyd Quiet and his wife, Joyce, of Pittsfield; and two nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and his youngest son, Derek C. Quiet.
