Dover-Foxcroft – Francis L. Crommett, 98, passed away peacefully in his sleep, December 5, 2020, at his son Clay’s home in Little Creek, Delaware. He was born April 26, 1922, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Sara Folsom. Francis worked as a lineman for Central Maine Power for many years until his retirement. After his retirement, Francis enjoyed volunteering with Fran Moore’s group doing physical therapy. He thoroughly enjoyed golf and played well into his 90’s. He greatly missed being able to play. Francis often took his papillon to Hibbard Nursing Home to visit the residents. Francis often said, “No one knows my name, but they know Princess.” Francis is survived by his son, Clay Crommett and his significant other, Susan Freese; his niece, Maryellen Eastman; and his daughter-in-law, Rebecca Crommett. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth; second wife, Phyllis; son, Barry; sister, Elaine; and brothers, Herbert and Kenneth. Burial will be in the family lot in the Dover Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
