Obituary of Alan J. Demuth

Abbot – Alan J. Demuth, also known as “Grumpy”, passed away November 5, 2020, at his residence. He was born May 28, 1957, in Rockland, the son of Harland R. and Marita (Huff) Demuth. Alan is survived by his daughter, Jennifer and her husband, Adam Rivera; two sons, Chad and his wife, Connie Featherston and Eric and his wife, Rachel Featherston; twelve grandchildren, Damian Rivera, Dominique Rivera, Brionna Rivera, Caiden Rivera, Alexander Rivera, Michael and his wife, Randi Palmer, Brandon Featherston and fiancée, Crystal Collins, Ryan Featherston, Grace Palmer, Justin Featherston, Dylan Palmer, and Cody Featherston; and four great-grandchildren, Michael Braden Palmer, Brylee Palmer, Hunter Palmer, and Matthew Featherston. He also leaves a brother, Gregory Demuth; sisters, Debra and husband, Robert Beattie, and Marilyn Whiddecombe; a nephew, Chris Whiddecombe; and a niece, Brianna Whidecombe. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Douglas Demuth. A private graveside memorial service will be held at Lawn Cemetery, Guilford. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
