Milo – Christel I. Woodard, 85, wife of Harold, passed away November 4, 2020, at her home. She was born June 9, 1935, in Carmel, the daughter of Herbert and Lillian (Hawes) Pomeroy. Christel attended Carmel schools and graduated from Carmel High School, Class of 1953. She was a homemaker many years before working for MSAD 41 at Milo Elementary. Christel was a faithful member of the Milo United Baptist Church. Christel is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harold L. Woodard, Jr. of Milo; four children, Arthur Woodard and wife, Kelly, and their family of Brownville Junction, Herbert Woodard and wife, Nancy, and their family of Barnard, Lorrie Gerrish and husband, Peter, and their family of Brownville, and Kelley Carroll and husband, Michael, and their family of Williamsburg; and two sisters, Natalie Haskell of Sangerville, and Marion Morse of Carmel. She was predeceased by her brother, Artemus Pomeroy. A graveside memorial service will be held 1PM Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. The family asks that you please wear a face covering and that social distancing rules are respected. If desired, memorial gifts may be given to the Milo Elementary School Library, c/o MSAD 41, 20 Howland Rd., LaGrange, ME 04453, or to the Milo Public Library,4 Pleasant St. Milo, ME 04463.
