Bangor – Sally M. Mountain, 76, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on October 4, 2020, at her home in Bangor. She was born December 26, 1943, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Clifton and Eva Mountain. She grew up in Dover-Foxcroft, graduated from Foxcroft Academy and touched hearts throughout her life with her caring attitude and free-spirited adventures. Whether it be a joke amongst friends or a spin on the dance floor, Sally was accustomed to putting smiles on faces!
She is survived by her brother, Stuart Mountain and his wife, Lynn, of Wichita Falls, TX; two sons, Rick VanDyne and his fiancé, Tammy, of Medway, and Blaine VanDyne and his wife, Michele, of Moorseville, NC; five grandchildren, Jordan-Lee, Ryan, Matthew, Daniel, and Christina; and two great-grandchildren, Disney and Tommy Jane.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2020, at the family lot in the Dover Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
