Dothan, AL – Hazel M. MacHarrie, 92, passed away September 19, 2020 at the home of her daughter, Paula Brown, of Slocomb, AL. She was born May 2, 1928, in Patterson, NJ, the daughter of James Flanagan and Hazel C. (Mutter) Hollins. She had served with the U.S. Air Force and was extremely proud of her military background. She had lived in Maine for 43 years before moving to Dothan to be closer to her daughters. She is survived by her daughters, Paula Brown (Jeff), and Patricia Bryars (Jeff); grandchildren, Melissa DeLeo (Jeremy), Daniel Watters, Jr. (Casey), Jesse Watters (Lauren), Brean Nichols, and Hadas Spivey (Russell); nine great-grandchildren; niece, nephews and other extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, James MacHarrie, and a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Edwin Howard. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 9, PO Box 310972, Enterprise, AL 36331. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Sorrells Funeral Home, Slocomb, AL. A graveside committal service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at the family lot in Sebec Corner Cemetery, with Pastor Isaiah Hill officiating.
