Conway, SC and Dover-Foxcroft – On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, Robert “Bob” Norman Stevens, Sr. loving husband and father of five children, went to be with his Lord at the age of 88. Bob was born February 27, 1932, in Dover-Foxcroft to Charles and H. Marion (Trundy) Stevens. Bob graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1950. He spent two years at Gorham State Teachers College. During this time, he joined the United States Naval Reserve. On August 11, 1951, he married Delores (McLaughlin) Stevens. They raised three sons, Richard, Mark, and Robert, Jr., and two daughters, Cathy and Cheryl. Bob was a man of strong faith and went on many mission trips spreading this passion for God by building schools and churches in Russia, Africa and Paraguay. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Charles; his mother, H. Marion; his two brothers, Louis and Myles; and his daughter, Cathy. He is survived by his wife, Delores; his four children, Richard, Mark, Robert, Jr., and Cheryl; his 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020, at the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft.
