Obituary of Alanson S. Robbins

Monson - Alanson S. Robbins, 80, passed away Monday, August 3, 2020. He was born October 6, 1939, in Baileyville, the son of the late John and Mae Kneeland of Monson. Alanson worked as a woodsman, a machinist at Fayscott, and a store owner, owning The Yankee Trader in Monson. He loved hunting, fishing, and being at camp on Lake Hebron. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joy (Anderson) Robbins; his children, Arvid Robbins and his wife, Shelley, of Skowhegan, and Melissa Robbins and her friend, Maureen Grundy, of Oakdale, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Kevin, David, and Sarah; and three great-grandchildren, Molly, Maggie, and Kiyomi. He was predeceased by two brothers, Gary Robbins and Richard Preston. A graveside memorial service will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at the Lake Road Cemetery, Monson, located on Route 15 (Greenville Rd ). In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Alanson Robbins’ name to the Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, 383 US Route one Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
