Greenville – Margaret Mahoney passed away July 27, 2020, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was born August 10, 1945, in Columbus, Georgia. Although hindered by many health issues, she lived her life by expressing her many God-given creative talents. Margaret was a Registered Nurse, a writer publishing two books, a computer artist, a lover of all animals, and a breeder of her beloved Yorkshire Terriers. Before her illnesses she worked in such places as the former Boston City Hospital, Mediplex of Beverly, MA, the Northland Manor in Jackman and the C.A. Dean Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home in Greenville. She was the former Director of Nurses at the C.A. Dean Nursing Home. Predeceased by her parents, sister, Cathy, and son, Daniel, she leaves behind her beloved husband, David, son, Thomas, brothers, William and Walter, and many friends and acquaintances. Most of all, she will be sadly missed by her loving Yorkies, Bettsy, Mookie, Bubba, and Seumas, Jr. A special thank you is extended to the medical and nursing staff at Northern Light C.A. Dean Memorial Hospital, Life Flight of Maine, and Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. Those who wish may make contributions in Margaret's memory to The Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave, Bangor, ME 04401. A Memorial Mass will be conducted 10:00 am Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Greenville, with Father Aaron Damboise officiating.
