Please share a memory of Richard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Zephyrhills, FL - Richard Evans Page, 78, left his earthly life July 2, 2020, at Westbrooke Manor after a lengthy decline. He was born in Hyannis, MA, January 2, 1942. He was the son of Woodrow E. Page and Phyllis (Spear) Page. His mother died when he was 9; Constance Witham Page became his loving step-mother shortly after. Rick graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1960 and received his BA and MEd from UM at Orono after studying at Syracuse University and the University of Hawaii. His 30 year career took place in the Brewer School System Guidance Department where he thrived on assisting students and fellow teachers. For 40 years he recovered from his alcoholism in AA, very grateful for the life the experience gave him. During his 18 years of retirement he attended daily AA meetings continuing his life’s work of assisting others while getting assistance for himself through a 12 step way of life. He is predeceased by his parents and his bother Bobby, along with his in-laws, Garfield and Anna Stone and brothers-in-law, John Stone and Richard Stone. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Nancy (Stone); daughter, Leanne (Greg) Turton, of Tampa, FL; son, Robert (Deborah) Page of Portland, ME; four grandchildren, Zachary and Sydney Turton and Molly and Carter Page; sister Joan (Howard) Garniss of Burlington, MA; brother, Jim (Angie) Page of Silver City, NV; sister in-law, Anita Stone, of Lewiston, ME; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Those who wish may make donations to Foxcroft Academy (Constance Witham Page Music Scholarship), 975 W Main St, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426. Due to the current public health crisis, no services will be held. A gravesite gathering with family will take place at a future date. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
