Dover-Foxcroft -Beverly M. Wolf, 90, died May 28, 2020 at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Dover-Foxcroft, the only child of Charles and Erminie (Parsons) Steeves. She received her education in local schools and was a 1949 graduate of Foxcroft Academy. Bev was a gifted artist as could be seen in several genre; her artistic eye could be witnessed in her perennial gardens and yard work as well as in her vocation in drafting and designing jet engines to scale at General Electric in Lynn, Massachusetts for over twenty years. Her hobby of converting from photographs, scale models of area businesses and commissioned artwork of people’s homes and cottages, are now a legacy to her high standards of perfection. For many years she served as the Director of Volunteers at Mayo Memorial Hospital and was in charge of the Gift Shop. She dedicated many volunteer hours to her community by organizing home and garden tours; and, because of her love of reading, tried to enrich the lives of others by serving on the Board of the Thompson Free Library in Dover-Foxcroft, and was a former member of the Miosac Club. In memory of her beloved husband, Tom Wolf, she established and managed the Life Line program. In keeping with Bev’s wishes, remembrance gifts may be given to either Foxcroft Academy, 975 West Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, Me. 04426 or to the Maine Center for the Arts. Interment will be at the family lot in the Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft.
